JD 3010 Engine Rebuild #3

I finally got the pistons in the JD 3010 block. This is a wet sleeve engine which means that the water that cools the engine runs on the back side of the sleeve. It also means that the sleeve is sealed at the bottom with 2 orings that keeps the oil in the bottom of the engine and the water behind the sleeves. It really does not pay to mix the water and oil. The sleeve is sealed at the top with the head gasket. The next thing I have to do is install the camshaft and lifters, the timing gears and the rear seal. Then I will be ready to put the head on the block. Maybe, by the end of the week I can get this done.
